House-hunters rely on text alerts to find homes (Times Online)
With 80 buyers chasing every property that comes on the market in London, house-hunters are using text alerts to help them to find a home. Some estate agents are arriving at their desks by 7am to alert potential buyers to new listings on their way to work. Viewings are made during lunch hours.
Land Registry puts chains online (KableNET)
The Land Registry has opened a pilot system allowing buyers, sellers, solicitors, conveyancers and estate agents to view the property chain in which their transactions are situated.
